In 1983 Fox released to the public the very first leather slip on SuperFox Boots. The SuperFox boot was designed for use in trials, enduro, and motocross. These early Fox Boots were very innovative in their own right. Most boots of the time utilized metal shin guards which were very prone to bending and denting. The SuperFox feature the first molded plastic shin protection of its type used on a pair of motorcycle boots. Then in 1986, supercross legend Ricky Johnson debuted the Fox Comp 2 boot in the first 250cc national of the year in Gainesville, FL where he won both motos in his new Fox Boots. One week later he went on to win the Daytona Supercross wearing the Fox Comp 2 boot. In 1987 the boot was release to the public and quick became the best selling boot of the late 1980's.The Comp 2 boots really revolutionized the motorcycle boot making industry with its stylish features, functionability, durability, and impressive level of protection. In fact, it was the first boot of it's time to offer metal buckles, velcro upper closures, and "quick draw" internal lacing. The Comp 2 boot was produced for an impressive 5 more years after its inception without any design changes. The Chameleon Fox Racing Boot came down the pipeline in 1991 featuring interchangable logos and buckles with color options. Fox offered replacement parts in colors such as glo-pink, glo-green, and baby blue. This boot was the ultimate in style, protection, fitment, and function. In 1995 the Fox Forma Boot entered into the motorcycle world. At this point Fox had already become one of the world leaders in motorcycle protective gear. The Forma Boot only help Fox Racing Boots popularity offering features like a neoprene inner sock, dual compound protection, and an arched over strap. Out of the ashes of the Forma Boot the Forma Comp Boot was born. This boot featured a dual locking buckle system, Fox's progressive flex technology, and plastic panel’s strategically placed. Three years later with the help of superstar supercross racer and Fox test rider James "Bubba" Stewart" Fox came out with the Fox Forma Pro. Fox really raised the bar in 2002 with anatomically contoured shin plates and dual locking aluminum buckles. They also minimized the number of seams in the boots internal construction. In 2008 they are at it again. The most exciting MX boot ever released comes once again from Fox Racing.
